Autism Spectrum Disorders Professional Studies Certificate
In response to the growing concern about services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) we designed and implemented a program to deepen the expertise in the field of ASD. Get the specialized skills you’ll need to work as an instructor for this diverse population. Learn about theory, a variety of evidence-based intervention methods and working with families.
Cost of Tuition: In-state rate is $275.00/Out-of-State rate is $350.00 per credit hour
- Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution
- A minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA

If you are wanting to take only one class on the ASD cohort, and not apply to enroll as a student for the full certificate, then you don’t need to fill out the application. Fluvanna Cohort Spring 2019 Class: PSPE 560 Strategies & Interventions for Supporting Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in School, Home, and Community (CRN: P03 – 32062) & PSPE 495 Special Topics in ASD (CRN: 32061) will have two face-to-face meetings on 1/19/19 and 3/9/19. Location for the on-site meetings will be at the Fluvanna County School Board Office, Conference Room, Palmyra, VA. The rest of the class will be delivered online. Class duration: Saturday, January 12 – Saturday, March 9, 2019.
PSPE 580 Internship in ASD (CRN: P03 – 32063) will be delivered 100% online. Class duration: Saturday, March 9 – Saturday, May 4, 2019.
