PTHE 495-P03: Performance for the Middle/High School Teacher  This course will introduce the student to significant texts, ideas, and crafts essential to the study of theatre through readings, discussions, video archives of film and theatrical performances, hands-on experiences, interviews with theatre professionals, and performances outside of class.  Projects involve examining the roles of the producer, playwright, director, actor, and designer, and how aesthetic choices are made based on analysis and interpretation of play texts. 3 credits.
